Services
West Madison Utility District provides both water and sewer services. Following is a breakdown of the cost for the services provided. For more detailed information or questions, please contact the office at 601.879.9718 during normal business hours.

Rate Code
The rate code is the minimum cost per gallon as follows:
Residential:
Minimum Water Rate: 0-2,000 gallons at $21.00
over 2,000 gallons at $3.90 per thousand
Minimum Sewer Rate: 0-2,000 gallons at $13.00
over 2,000 gallons at $2.00 per thousand
Business:
Flat rate of $81.00 for water and $13.00 for sewer

Service Fees
Following are a list of basic service fees:
$250.00 New Account/Meter
$300.00 Water Tap Fee
$400.00 Sewer Fee
$435.00 Road Cut Fee
$485.00 Road Bore Fee
$615.00 Highway Bore Fee
$115.00 Vandalism Fee
$40.00 Transfer Fee

Deposits
To acquire services from West Madison Utility District, the following deposit is required:
$100.00 for Residential Security Deposit Homeowner
$150.00 for Residental Security Deposit Renter
$200.00 for Commercial Security Deposit
Security deposits are refundable upon termination of services less any final fees for service.

Payment Info
Important Dates and Fees:
10th of each month the payment is due in full (no partial payments accepted)
11th of each month a $10.00 late fee is added
15th of each month (last day to pay with no additional fees)
16th of each month is the cutoff date (The cutoff list is generated and a $35.00 reconnection fee is already added to the account.)

**Current Customers:
Although payments are made at the Bank of Yazoo on the 16th of the month, your account will still appear on the disconnect list. Our office opens at 9 am and the Bank of Yazoo opens at 8:30 am; therefore, the list is already generated. All accounts on the list will be cut off and the balance on your account, plus a $35.00 reconnection fee, has to be paid in full to have your services restored.
Payment methods at the office are check/money order ONLY! Cash, check and money order payments can be made at the Bank of Yazoo.
Customers should receive a current monthly statement on or shortly after the 1st of each month detailing current and past due water/sewer charges. If a customer does not receive a monthly statement, it is the customer's responsibility to contact the Billing Clerk to request another bill be mailed. Failure to receive a monthly statement does not relieve the customer of any payment obligation nor prevent the Termination of a Service Connection. Bill is due the 10th of each month and Late Charge is applied on the 11th of each month. Cutoff is on the 16th of each month.
